Bigger Perspective

I've been reading through Job in my daily Bible reading.  I just arrived at the point where God is answering Job and his friends.  I've read these passages before, but this time God highlighted a new aspect for me.  (Imagine that - God's Word being living and active, it speaks to me each time with something new and fresh!)

God begins talking to Job with a list of questions that clearly Job cannot answer.  Job evens states so, that he must cover his mouth and not talk.  When I've read this before, I always thought God was trying to prove a point to Job that He knows everything and Job does not.  While this is true, I think God was also trying to help Job gain a bigger perspective.  When faced with how amazing God is, we often tend to minimize or even forget our own troubles temporarily.

I know I'm going to try to keep and maintain a bigger perspective.  Let's just hope I don't have to go through what Job did to get it.  But if so, God is still God, and He is whom I will serve regardless.
